Come have fun, and raise funds, for The Kidzpositive Family Fund
Where will you have the chance to play golf for an autographed Gary Player photograph, some fantastic local wines, beautiful golf wedges or circus tickets for the whole family, all while raising much needed funds for a NPO doing amazing work in the field of HIV/AIDS?
The Kidzpositive Family Fund is a Non-Profit Organisation based in Cape Town, dedicated to improving the lives of children and families affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases. The organisation was founded in 2001 by health care professionals working at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town.
On Friday, 12 December 2014 The Kidzpositive Family Fund will be hosting its inaugural golf day at the beautiful, award-winning Mowbray Golf Course. They believe in a holistic approach to treating HIV/AIDS and their beneficiaries reap the rewards. With the Kidzpositive Charity Golf Day they aim to raise funds to sustain quality health care delivery for affected children and families. Participating golfers will not only enjoy playing at a club recognized as one of the best in the country; they will also have the satisfaction of helping a worthy charitable organisation to raise funds.
Over the past 13 years The Kidzpositive Family Fund has made a great impact on the delivery of quality HIV/AIDS services in the Cape Town metropolitan region. They have expanded their support services to an additional 5 public service hospitals and clinics in the greater Cape Town region. Kidzpositive currently supports healthcare services to more than 1 800 beneficiaries who benefits from our holistic approach to HIV/AIDS care – which includes quality health care, an income generation project and a clinic-based Early Childhood Development programme. They also run an Advanced Counsellor Training course which equips HIV/AIDS adherence counsellors with essential professional skills. The funds raised at this golf day will make a real difference.
