No need to leave town, no need for elaborately planned holiday schedules. Instead, just fill up the extra time with loads of exciting outings to #MMStadium! It’s also a close walk to the beach, and we have a feeling no-one’s going to disagree about a dip in the ocean… Here’s what’s on offer for the whole family during the October break:


People’s Park – Free!

Open Daily

People’s Park is a kids’ haven. Wide open spaces, a brightly coloured state of the art playground, onsite parking and a cafe with free wi-fi for parents make it a crowd pleaser for the entire clan. Already a firm favourite with many Durban families, it’s worth coming to check what the hype is about! People’s Park Cafe is open Monday – Sunday from 7am to 6pm.


Wild Adventures – R30 pp

Holiday Times: 9am – 4pm daily

The latest addition to the list of attractions at the stadium is the Wild Adventures: Lost World, an interactive indoor play and educational facility with a Jurassic Park-inspired theme. Complete with animatronic dinosaurs and a fossil excavation pit, it will deliver plenty of fun for the kiddies!


Sky Car – R55 pp

Holiday Times: 9am – 6pm (last ride at 5.30pm)

Take a ride up to the top of the arch and step out onto the ultimate selfie platform! Breathtakingly beautiful Durban views surround you as in take in the fresh ocean air and appreciate the coolest city in South Africa (CNN said so!)


Segway Gliding Tours R180 – R400 pp

Holiday Tour Times:  9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm

Take a tour of the stadium or cruise down to uShaka on your own Segway! There is no cooler way to travel. Just ask Justin Bieber, it’s his favourite way of getting around at concert venues!


Adventure Walk – R90 pp

Holiday Tour Dates: 8 Oct, 10 Oct, 11 Oct and 12 October

Tour Times: 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm

Adventurous? No problem! Get your fix with the famous 500-step Adventure Walk! Not only do you get to say you climbed to the top of the famous #MMS Arch, you get your very own certificate to prove it! (totally frame-worthy)


Stadium Tours R30 – R90 pp

Times: Tues – Sun 12pm – 1.30pm & 2pm – 3.30pm (Closed Mon)

The stadium has played host to many famous sports teams, stars and celebrities. Feel what it feels like to be backstage at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Sense the team pride in the changerooms and experience the rush of walking out of the player’s tunnel while enjoying the unique collection of artworks throughout the VIP areas.


Big Rush Big Swing – R695 pp

Times: Fri – Mon 10am – 4pm (closed Tues & Thurs)

Be part of one of Durban’s ultimate adrenalin junkie features, the Big Swing. You have not lived until you’ve taken the swing in to Moses Mabhida Stadium. It’s not called the Big Rush for nothing, take the leap and let us know if you agree!
