South African long-distance runner Stephen Mokoka has won the 10km Peace Run at the 2014 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in a time of 28m44s.

“I’m very happy with my time, although it was tough but I am okay. My body is taking strain, but still very happy with my time” says Mokoka.
Mokoka represented South Africa in the marathon section of the 2012 London Olympics, most recently winning the 2013 Great South Run 10-miler in the United Kingdom. He ended the year off coming fourth in the Shanghai Marathon.
