Overall Record: 28-27
Last Week: 5-1
Hurricanes vs Blues
Another one of those 50/50 calls to start off the round. Always said when in doubt, pick the home team, and it’s about time I followed my advice.
Prediction: Hurricanes by 8
Rebels vs Force
It doesn’t matter where they play, it doesn’t matter how good the other team plays, and it doesn’t matter what conditions they play in. If Force keep on defending like they have been, they will not lose.
Prediction: Force 11
Chiefs vs Crusaders
Tough call this. Chiefs have been struggling lately, while the Saders have gotten on a bit of a roll, not to mention they will want revenge after losing to them earlier this year. In the end though, Chiefs are at home, and Saders have made the travel back from SA so I’ve got to stick with the defending champs here.
Prediction: Chiefs by 9
Waratahs vs Bulls
Tahs have really struggled against the Bulls in recent years, however I can’t see this Bulls side continuing that trend. The men from Pretoria played some of the worst rugby I’ve ever seen last week, and I can’t see them even being in this match at any stage.
Prediction: Waratahs by 7
Sharks vs Cheetahs
If I really need to try convince you to pick Sharks here, then you might have a problem. Another easy win for Jake White’s men.
Prediction: Sharks by 16
Stormers vs Lions
Stormers are kak. People are still picking them as they are being influenced by the name and the history of the Stormers, but this year they are rock bottom for a reason. They simply don’t have the players or tactics to beat anyone.
Prediction: Lions by 6
Brumbies, Reds, and Highlanders have byes.
