Super Rugby round 3 preview

With Round 3 of Super Rugby just around the corner, I thought I’d preview the matches and give you my predictions for them. Lets get right to it.

Blues vs Crusaders

A trip to Auckland to play the Blues has been the Saders opening fixture for the 3rd year straight now, and like last year I see them coming away with all 4 points.

Waratahs vs Rebels

Tahs showed signs of their capabilities in the 2nd half last week against the Reds, and while they ended up losing that one, this week I see a different story for them.

Reds vs Hurricanes

The toughest match to call this week. Reds at home probably gives them the edge, but I fancy Canes style of rugby to get them the win in this one.

Chiefs vs Cheetahs

Cheetahs had a good tournament last year, but I just don’t see them being as dangerous this time around now that teams know their capabilities. Chiefs looked brilliant last week, and I reckon we might see a bit of a hiding in this one.

Bulls vs Force

The Force were beaten quite comfortably by the new boys on the block last week. So this week against the might of the Bulls, I see an absolute mauling of the Force.

Sharks vs Stormers – MATCH OF THE WEEK

Another toughie of round 3, Stormers looked mighty average against the Bulls, however I feel the Sharks style of play will fall right into the hands of the Stormers game plan, and will see them making it 2 in 2 at the shark tank.

Kings, Brumbies, and Highlanders have byes this week.
