Boston Red Sox at Houston Astros

Tip: Red Sox WIN (2.00)

The Houston Astros won the second game of this set in a 7-1 victory on Sunday. The series is tied at 1-1 and game 3 is the showcase, EPSN game of the day on Monday morning. In the pitching matchup, David Price from the Red Sox takes on Joe Musgrove. Price has struggled in his last two starts and will be looking for improvements on the mound. He has allowed 9 earned runs in the last 11 innings. More worrying signs is fact he has walked a total of 8 batters in those 2 starts. But if he can go 6 or more innings, the Red Sox have one of the best bullpens in the Major Leagues. They haven’t allowed a single run in 25 innings, which is the longest active streak in MLB. Price will need to watch out for Brian McCann if he’s in the lineup, he has 3 career home runs against him and hit a homer in game 1 of this set. The Astros are 1-2 in Musgrove’s last 3 home starts and he has generally struggled at home. He has a 2-5 record at Houston with a 5.05 ERA. Overall, Boston are 6-3 against Houston since last season and the Astros are 3-5 at home in their last 8 games. Therefore, the Wolf is backing Price will rebound with a quality start and the Red Sox win this game.
