The Masters Course at Barsebäck G&CC in Malmo, Sweden is host of this week’s European Tour event the Nordea Masters.
The Masters Course at Barsebäck G&CC returns to host this event after an 8 year absence. It is a lengthy layout and long drivers should be advantaged while accuracy off the tee won’t be as important. Henrik Stenson and Alex Noren are both quoted in single figures of what looks a decent field.
2016 – Matthew Fitzpatrick -16
2015 – Alex Noren -12
2014 – Thongchai Jaidee -16 *
2013 – Mikko Ilonen -21
2012 – Lee Westwood -19
33/1 and better the balance, prices correct at the time of posting but subject to change
Alex Noren win only at 7/1
He won last week at the BMW and the 2015 champion has an excellent record at this event – I don’t usually go for single figure golfers but I would be surprised if he doesn’t contend this week.
Nicolas Colsaerts each way at 55/1
His length will be an asset and he showed a return to form last week with a top 3 finish at Wentworth.
Alvaro Quiros each way at 110/1
This looks a big price for a recent winner who has serious length off the tee.
