The Spain MotoGP, Betting Preview

The Jerez circuit is the venue for this weekend’s Spanish MotoGP which takes place on the 7th May.

Defending champion Marc Marquez took his first win of the season when he climbed the podium to take 1st place a fortnight ago at the Red Bull GP of the Americas (his 5th successive win at the track).  He had been neck and neck for much of the race with his team-mate Dani Pedrosa who eventually ended up 3rd when Valentino Rossi overtook him to secure the 2nd spot on the podium and his 3rd consecutive podium finish.

Maverick Vinales who had been leading in the Championship Standings crashed out and the veteran Rossi now moves into 1st spot 6 points ahead of Vinales.

Championship points

Vinales 16/10

Marquez 22/10

Rossi 49/20

Pedrosa 5/1

Crutchlow 24/1

Zarco 25/1

Dovizioso 30/1

Lorenzo 33/1

Iannone 65/1

79/1 and better the balance

In 2016 Valentino Rossi was the victor followed by Jorge Lorenzo in 2nd and Marc Marquez completed the podium. Rossi has an excellent record at this track and although the 9 time world champion doesn’t win as many races as he used to I think he could be value here to deliver the goods.

Be sure to take advantage of the “Money Back” Promo if the rider you back finishes 2nd – see below

Suggested Bet: Valentino Rossi win at 49/20
