West Indies will be looking to wrap up the series when they meet Pakistan in the 2nd ODI at Providence on Sunday.
The West Indies looked likely to be beaten for much of the 1st ODI and few would have backed them to chase down 309 for victory. Batting 1stPakistan reached 308/5 with almost all of their top order contributing although in retrospect they probably played a bit too conservatively upfront. On the bowling front Nurse got 4 wickets for 62 runs in 10 and opener Joseph was the most economical going for just under 5 and over.
In the chase there were solid contributions from Lewis (47) and Powell (61) but it was number 5 Jason Mohammed who turned the match with an unbeaten 91 off just 58 balls. Most of the bowlers took tap although Hafeez and Malik were economical going for 4.37 and 4 runs an over.
The 2nd ODI will be played at Providence the same venue as the 1st ODI.

Bet: Pakistan win at 12/10
I felt they were the better side for much of the 1st ODI and only a very special batting performance took the game away from them.
