The Warriors and the Knights provide the entertainment in the Momentum One Day Cup in Port Elizabeth on Friday and both teams come into the game on the back of excellent wins last time out.

The only game played this week so far saw the Dolphins thrash the Lions on Wednesday and the KZN side are now seven points clear at the top of the log. The Warriors are second but it’s pretty congested below them in the standings as we head towards the business end of the round robin stage. Let’s take in an outright betting update.

Momentum One Day Cup Outright Winner.

Dolphins 16/10

Titans 3/1

Warriors 7/2

Knights 11/2

Lions 14/1

Cape Cobras 25/1

The Warriors have won three, lost three and been involved in one no result and they gave their play off hopes a huge boost with a 90 run win over the Cobras at Newlands last time out, thanks largely to a JJ Smuts ton. The Warriors have had their problems in home fixtures this season, losing twice in East London but they did beat the Dolphins at Port Elizabeth earlier in the tournament.

The Knights are three points behind the Warriors but they do have a game in hand and victory here would move them into a play off spot. David Miller was on form against the Titans last weekend, scoring a century that helped the Knights post a target in excess of 300 which was far too many for the Titans. You never quite know what to expect from the Knights as their record of three wins and three defeats suggests and in the first meeting with the Warriors they were bowled out for just 121 chasing a pretty mediocre target of 186 for victory.

Bet: Total match sixes, 8 and over at 5/6

With JJ Smuts and David Miller, key men on either side, in terrific form we fancy the total sixes count will reach at least eight.
