Kolkata Knight Riders v Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL Betting Preview

Sunday is the final day of the round robin stage of IPL 2016, play off places are still up for grabs and the first of the two matches sees Kolkata Knight Riders host Sunrisers Hyderabad

The results of Saturday’s matches will have a bearing on the play offs and net run rate could be a major factor. As it stands KKR need a win here to make sure of their play off place whilst the Sunrisers, with a healthy net run rate, have probably already done enough to seal a top four spot but their aim will be to finish first or second. Watch the media for updates of what teams need to do to finish in the top two and the top four.

KKR are right in the thick of the log jam on 14 points. They have won 7 and lost 6 of their matches but they come into this game having suffered back to back defeats, at home to RCB (9 wickets) and away at the Lions (6 wickets). Those defeats damaged their net run rate and their only win in the last 4 outings came against the struggling Supergiants.

The Sunrisers lost a last ball thriller to the Daredevils on Friday, their second defeat against the Delhi side in their last 3 outings. They are 2 points better off than KKR but after recovering from a poor start to the tournament and having hit the top of the log in the second half of the round robin stage, they will want to make sure they have the shortest route to a potential final.

Head to Head

When the teams met in Hyderabad in Match 8 the Knight Riders won by 8 wickets. Batting first the Sunrisers posted 142/7 (Morgan 51) but KKR put on 92 for the first wicket and they coasted to the target in 18.2 overs with Gambhir finishing unbeaten on 90.

Overall from 7 meetings the Knight Riders have won 5 and the Sunrisers have won 2. KKR have a 71.42% win ration against the Sunrisers.
