Blues vs Chiefs

This looks like an even match on paper, but when you look at the Blues’ outstanding record at home this season, one simply has to back them here.

Prediction: Blues by 17

Brumbies vs Force

Was thinking Brumbies the second I saw this match and nothing has changed my mind since. Everything is pointing towards a home victory here.

Prediction: Brumbies by 23

Bulls vs Rebels

Bulls are struggling at the moment, but I don’t think their struggles are enough for the Rebels to come to Loftus and steal a win here, especially seeing as the Rebels are having struggles of their own right now.

Prediction: Bulls by 16

Crusaders vs Highlanders

The battle for top spot in the NZ conference is decided with this fixture. Landers need a BP win and can’t let the Saders walk away with even a single point here. I think Saders though will just look to play basic rugby and that it will work against a Landers side that might just take a few too many chances in this game.

Prediction: Crusaders by 10

Reds vs Waratahs

You simply can’t go against the Waratahs at the moment, they look the favourites to lift the trophy this season, and there is no way I can see the Reds winning here.

Prediction: Waratahs by 7

Lions vs Cheetahs

We could be in for a fast flowing, try scoring, cracker in this one. Both teams going out for one last game with nothing to lose or gain and so we should see a lot of fast, open rugby from two sides that naturally like to run the ball.

Prediction: Cheetahs by 14

Stormers vs Sharks

I reckon the Sharks struggles will continue here at Newlands and send them to the playoffs with yet another loss. I worry that the Sharks might have peaked too early this season.

Prediction: Stormers by 6

Hurricanes have a bye this week.
