I have been dreadful in calling the matches this season, and if I get it wrong again this weekend, then I won’t blame anyone that stops reading my previews. Here goes…
Chiefs vs Highlanders
Chiefs back from a successful tour to South Africa, and will be looking to continue their good form in front of their home fans when they take on a Highlanders team that doesn’t quite look in it this season. Expect a Chiefs win by plenty here.
Prediction: Chiefs by 31
Crusaders vs Southern Kings
Maiden overseas tour for the Kings, and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty. Crusaders looked like the team of old last week vs Bulls, and if they take that form into this match, well then, expect a slaughtering here.
Prediction: Crusaders by 61
Reds vs Bulls
Both teams had a shocker last week, but I expect Reds in front of their home fans to bounce back better than the Bulls, and ultimately get the win. The nine changes made by the Bulls wont help either.
Prediction: Reds by 13
Western Force vs Cheetahs
What an impressive tour it has been for the Cheetahs, but Force’s win over Reds away from home was equally as good, and with the injury of Goosen, the Cheetahs just aren’t the same team without him.
Prediction: Force by 6
Sharks vs Melbourne Rebels
Sharks are in need of some tries, and going up against this Rebels side might give them the chance to get over the whitewash a few times and get some confidence back on attack. For the Rebels, first game on tour, cant see them getting anything from this one
Prediction: Sharks by 17
Stormers vs Brumbies
What a toughie to call. At the end of it day, Brumbies have been the most consistent team in the whole competition, while Stormers have been below average, therefore I am going Brumbies… by a whisker.
Prediction: Brumbies by 4
Waratahs vs Blues
I have a feeling…. don’t ask me why, and it would probably be best if you ignore this, but I am going Tahs.
Prediction: Waratahs by 7
Hurricanes the only team with a bye this weekend.
