Super Rugby Round 5 Review

Better late than never, so without further ado, here is my Super Rugby round 5 review.

Sorry for taking so long to post this.

Highlanders vs Hurricanes

Even with the support of the home fans, the Highlanders succumbed to a better Hurricanes team on the night, and suffered yet another defeat. It’s desperation time now for the Highlanders.

Waratahs vs Cheetahs

Another win on tour for the Cheetahs who put on an impressive performance again. It was close, but the Cheetahs attack was always going to get the best of this extremely kak Waratahs side.

Southern Kings vs Chiefs

I wrote a detailed review of this match earlier, here’s the link to check it out: http://sasportsblog.net/2013/03/16/resillient-kings-continue-to-impress/

Crusaders vs Bulls

Christchurch. talk about a voodoo ground for all South African sides. Crusaders gave Bulls a hiding, and looked for the first time this season, a team that could be contenders for the title. Bulls on the other hand… back to the drawing board for them.

Reds vs Force

Who saw that coming? Granted the Reds were especially useless that match, but don’t take anything away from the Force, they put on an impressive rugby display.

Sharks vs Brumbies

Brumbies are my tip to win the competition after this result. They’ve shown now they can win away from home, and win well, and with top spot on the overall log almost guaranteed, I can’t see anyone beating this team in Canberra.
